BTS is the first Kpop group that I got into.  All the members are great singers.  Their dancing is amazing.  There are 7 members in BTS.  The members are Rap Monster, Suga, J Hope, V, Jin, Jimin and Jungkook.  Hearing them live is even more awesome!  Every member is so talented!  They are also funny!  If you’ve never watched an interview with BTS or their reality program (RUN BTS), I would highly recommend that you do.  They also have their own channel on V app.  **Sidenote** V app is an app that you can download.   Through this app, you can follow various Kpop groups/solo artists and when the group/member streams live, you can watch!  It’s so fun!  Of course sometimes the live broadcast is during odd hours because most of the time, the member/group is broadcasting live Korea time.

I knew nothing about Korean groups until my good friend introduced it to me.  From that point on, it’s been a fast, downhill spiral down the Kpop world.  I’m sure many of you can relate.  I had always been into Japanese idol groups but that was different.  I understood what they were saying and singing.  I never thought I would become a fan of Korean groups since I have NO idea what they are saying.  Thank goodness for subtitles! (Thank you to anyone that has ever translated Kpop videos!)  It’s also a good excuse to learn a different language.  Though the language is hard and some of the pronunciation is difficult, once you start listening to Korean songs, interviews, and even Korean dramas, sometimes you can pick up on some of the commonly used Korean words.
